Scenic Wonders

If you've ever seen the Grand Canyon, the white cliffs of Dover, the Giza pyramids or even Mount Rushmore, it's easy to think: What scenic wonders could North Georgia possibly have to compare with those? Well you, our readers, certainly helped clear that up.

While we might not have large presidential faces carved in rock (except maybe the Poultry Park chicken), what Northeast Georgia lacks in man-made wonders it certainly makes up for in natural ones.

You suggested waterfalls, serene waterways tucked between rolling mountains that blush with color in the fall and even a 500-year-old mound, surrounded by grazing cattle, that once held a ceremonial flame marking an ancient civilization.
